Zero Youth Detention is about bringing together disparate legal system agencies and community organizations to reduce the use of secure detention for young people in King County. While united in the goal of reaching Zero Youth Detention, each agency and organization brings different perspectives to the table. The KCTS documentary “Manifest Justice” explores this interplay by following the case of 17-year-old Jamari, who has pled guilty to robbery. The film follows the work of Zero Youth Detention community partner Community Passageways.
